Delivered and Not Delivered Items, Refund Instructions
This is how you mark an invoice to indicate what items have been delivered and what items are not delivered, along with the necessary information for refunds. By following these steps, you can ensure accurate records and clear communication between all parties involved.
1. Verify delivery: #
- Cross-check the items listed on the invoice with the items actually received.
2. Strikethrough the Delivered Items: #
- For items that have been successfully delivered, strikethrough the number of shipped items on the invoice just like in the picture below.

3. Encircle the Items that we ordered but were not delivered #
- In this Merlino invoice, we ordered 6 bottles of Sriracha Sauce, but we did not receive the items. Just encircle the 0 shipped amount as shown in the picture below.

4. Encircle the Items that were Charge to us but Not Delivered and write the Refund Amount: #
- Encircle the number of shipped items CHARGE TO US BUT NOT DELIVERED and write 0 beside it and the total refund amount at the bottom.
- To get the refund amount on the example invoice below, add the total amount of 5 Heavy Creams which is $56.95 and 1 Olive Oil which is $38.79 ($56.95 + $38.79 = $95.74)

- If for instance, an item is delivered but not all, encircle the number of shipped items and indicate the actual number of items received next to it. Like in the picture below, they charge us 5 Heavy Creams but only 3 were delivered, so there are 2 Heavy Creams that were not delivered. To compute the refund, multiply 2 by the unit price ($11.39) resulting in $22.78. Write at the bottom the refund amount.

- If for instance, a vendor delivered the wrong item, encircle the name of the item and the number of shipped items. Write a note at the bottom and the refund amount.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTION: #
